Welcome to Lisbon, Portugal’s captivating capital! Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to your centrally located hotel, where you’ll check in and settle into your new surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, take a gentle stroll through the historic Baixa district or enjoy a sunset walk along the Tagus River promenade or simply enjoy your day by tasting Pastel de Natas at a local shop. Finish the day with a walk around Parque Eduardo VII.
Fuel up with breakfast before joining a small-group guided city tour of Lisbon.
You’ll explore key landmarks like Belém Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site guarding the harbor; and the Jerónimos Monastery, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture. Continue on to the Monument to the Discoveries, which commemorates Portugal’s Age of Exploration. Your guide will take you through central neighborhoods like Chiado and Bairro Alto, offering insights into Lisbon’s rich past and contemporary culture. Today, escape the city with a magical full-day excursion to Sintra, a fairy-tale town nestled in the mountains just outside Lisbon. Visit the colorful and eclectic Palácio da Pena, perched high above the town and surrounded by lush gardens. After exploring Sintra’s romantic charm, continue to the quaint wine village of Colares and the dramatic cliffs of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Round out the day in the stylish coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril, where you can enjoy ocean views, a relaxed seaside atmosphere, and a taste of local seafood before returning to Lisbon.
After breakfast, check out and head to the airport for your short domestic flight to Porto, the jewel of northern Portugal. Upon arrival, transfer to your luxurious hotel in the city center. Once settled, take some time to explore the riverside Ribeira district, with its pastel-colored houses, narrow alleys, and lively atmosphere. Sip a glass of Port wine by the Douro River, and enjoy dinner with scenic views of Dom Luís I Bridge, especially beautiful when illuminated at night.
Be ready for a busy day in Porto, fill yourself with the delightful breakfast before leaving. Do not forget your camera in the room before leaving. A 3 hour walking tour to your favorite destinations.
In the afternoon, join a 3-hour guided walking tour through the historic heart of Porto. Your guide will take you through winding alleys, local markets, and hidden corners, sharing the stories that make Porto so unique. Another busy day at Porto, enjoy today’s planned Itinerary day at the fullest. Have your breakfast and head-out of your accommodation to enjoy Aveiro half-day tour and Porto Douro river tour.
Enjoy a half-day tour to Aveiro, often called the “Venice of Portugal.” Admire its charming canals, colorful moliceiro boats, and Art Nouveau architecture. Explore the fish market, try traditional ovos moles (sweet egg-yolk treats), and stroll along the lagoon. Back in Porto, your day continues with an exclusive Douro River cruise.
