Get ready for a 7 day journey that perfectly balances the electric energy of Bangkok with the meditative stillness of Luang Prabang. We’ve smoothed out the logistics so you can skip the travel stress and dive straight into the magic. Think private airport transfers, pre-vetted regional flights, and hand-picked boutique stays like the Manyo Resort, chosen specifically for its authentic Lao charm and peaceful location away from the crowds.

Your adventure begins in Thailand’s capital, where the scent of cooling jasmine incense fills the air at the Golden Buddha. We’ll show you the grandeur of the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, but also point you toward the hidden street-food stalls in Silom where the locals actually eat. From there, a quick flight whisking you over the Mekong River brings you to the saffron-robed spirituality of Laos. We’ve timed your visit to Wat Xieng Thong for the “golden hour,” when the sun hits the intricate glass mosaics just right. Whether you’re feeling the crisp, turquoise spray of the Kuang Si Falls or witnessing the quiet dignity of a morning Alms Giving Ceremony, this is the 2026 cultural reset you’ve been waiting for.

Bangkok City & Temples Tour

Begin your spiritual journey at Wat Traimit, home to the awe-inspiring Golden Buddha. This 5.5-ton solid gold statue—believed to date back to the early 13th century—is a masterpiece of Sukhothai craftsmanship. Beyond its staggering value, the figure stands as a radiant symbol of purity, strength, and enlightenment.

Next, explore the spiritual and intellectual heart of Bangkok at Wat Pho, located within Wat Chetuphon. Best known for its majestic Reclining Buddha, the temple is also revered as Thailand’s first public university. Richly adorned with murals, inscriptions, and sculptures, it has long served as a hub for learning, where scholars once gathered to share knowledge on everything from medicine and literature to astronomy and meditation.

Complete your journey at the serene and elegant Wat Benchamabophit, also known as the Marble Temple. This architectural gem blends Italian Carrara marble with traditional Thai design, creating a peaceful sanctuary unlike any other. The temple features 53 Buddha images and tranquil canals lined with lotus flowers, crossed by graceful footbridges that invite quiet contemplation.

Feel free to sleep in today—you’ve earned it. Once you’re up, fuel your day with a hearty breakfast, then set out to explore some of Bangkok’s most breathtaking landmarks.

Start with a visit to the Grand Palace, a dazzling complex that once housed Thai royalty. Within its ornate grounds lies the sacred Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), home to one of the most revered Buddha images in all of Thailand.

Just across the Chao Phraya River, discover the stunning silhouette of Wat Arun Ratchawararam, or the Temple of Dawn. With its intricately decorated spires and riverside views, it’s one of the most photogenic temples in the city—especially at sunset.

To round out your cultural immersion, don’t miss a visit to one of Bangkok’s famous floating markets. Watch as vendors in traditional wooden boats sell everything from tropical fruits to handmade crafts. While Damnoen Saduak and Amphawa are a bit outside the city center, they’re well worth the taxi ride for a truly authentic Thai experience.

Today, you’ll bid farewell to the vibrant energy of Bangkok and head off to the serene beauty of Luang Prabang, Laos’ ancient and cultural heart. Enjoy a smooth transfer to the airport and relax on a short, scenic flight.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and driven straight to your next luxurious accommodation, where comfort and calm await. Take some time to unwind, explore your surroundings, and ease into the slower pace of life.

As evening falls, celebrate your first night in Laos with a delicious local meal—whether it’s riverside dining or a cozy spot in the Old Town, it’s the perfect way to toast the start of a new adventure.

Ease into your morning with a pleasant breakfast, then set off on an included sightseeing excursion that offers a glimpse into the heart of Luang Prabang. Wander through bustling local markets, explore serene temples and monasteries, and soak in the beauty of the Mekong River from scenic viewpoints.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. If you’re feeling adventurous, consider a hike up Mount Phousi, one of Luang Prabang’s most beloved sunset spots. The panoramic views are well worth the climb—but don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes, as the path includes hundreds of steps.

Sightseeing
Sightseeing tour in Luang Prabang (half-day)

Nestled between the Nam Khan and Mekong Rivers, Luang Prabang is an enchanting town where time slows down and history lives on. With its blend of ancient temples and colonial-style architecture, it offers a truly unique window into Lao culture.

Begin your tour at Wat Visoun (Wat Wisunalat), the city’s oldest temple, dating back to 1513. Known for its distinctive stupa, the “Watermelon Stupa,” this site reflects the deep spiritual roots of Luang Prabang.

Just a short walk away, visit Wat Aham, a tranquil temple with centuries-old trees and a peaceful atmosphere, offering insight into the region’s fusion of spiritual traditions.

Then, make your way to the crown jewel of the city’s temples: Wat Xieng Thong. This exquisite complex features ornate mosaic work, gold-stenciled murals, and elegant sloping roofs—truly a masterpiece of Lao religious architecture.

From there, enjoy a leisurely stroll down Luang Prabang’s main temple-lined thoroughfare, often called Wat Street. Time permitting, stop at several smaller but equally beautiful temples, including Wat Sibounheuang, Wat Si Moungkhoun, Wat Sop, and Wat Sene—each offering a unique perspective on local devotion and artistry.

Make the most of your last full day of vacation! Start bright and early with a truly humbling experience: the morning alms-giving ceremony near Tak Bat. As lines of monks in vibrant orange robes quietly collect offerings against the backdrop of ancient temples, you’ll witness one of Luang Prabang’s most sacred and timeless traditions. Be respectful by observing in silence, keeping a low profile, and avoiding the use of camera flash—this daily ritual is a spiritual practice, not a photo op.

After this peaceful start, head out to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfalls—one of Southeast Asia’s most spectacular natural wonders. Just a short ride from the city (by tuk-tuk, bike, or taxi), these cascading turquoise pools are perfect for swimming, exploring, or simply relaxing amid lush jungle scenery.

Back in town, spend your afternoon soaking in more of Luang Prabang’s charm. Revisit a quiet wat, stroll through local markets, or hunt for handcrafted souvenirs to bring a bit of Laos home with you.

As the sun sets on your adventure, treat yourself to a special farewell dinner—whether it’s a riverside feast or a hidden gem in the Old Quarter, there’s no better way to toast your unforgettable journey.

It’s time to pack up your memories—and your souvenirs—as you say goodbye to the peaceful beauty of Luang Prabang. After one final stroll or a relaxed breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight home.

As you depart, carry with you the moments, flavors, and stories that made this journey unforgettable. Safe travels!

If you are planning to buy this package, then my recommendation is to wake up early to visit any of the temples in Bangkok and Laos. The early morning peace and atmosphere and the ritual performed by the monk have the power to heal your soul.

Food on walking tours in the markets of Bangkok and Luang Prabang was tasty, but some stalls weren’t very clean. The accommodations were neat and clean. But special thing was that the temples’ history added much meaning to the trip.

Be aware during the Luang Prabang tour. Do not use the camera and avoid gossip during the ritual. Just flow in the silence vibes, often monks wearing orange robes. Beyond this, you will find many photogenic places.

I had such an incredible experience on this Bangkok and Laos tour — honestly, it was one of the best trips I’ve taken. Bangkok was vibrant and full of life, with so much to see and do. From visiting the Grand Palace and Wat Pho to sampling amazing street food at night markets, every day was packed with highlights. The boat ride along the Chao Phraya River was a great way to see the city from a different angle, and our guide made sure everything ran smoothly. They even gave us great local tips for exploring during our free time. Then we flew to Laos, and wow — what a peaceful change of pace. Luang Prabang was absolutely beautiful. The morning alms ceremony, the Mekong River cruise, and the trip to Kuang Si Falls were all unforgettable. The slower rhythm of life there really gave us time to soak it all in. Everything was well-organized, the accommodations were cozy and clean, and the guides in both countries were friendly, funny, and genuinely passionate about what they do. If you’re thinking about visiting Southeast Asia, this tour is 100% worth it.
