tour-guide Tour Guide

Eleven days. Three cities. Three completely different versions of Asia — and somehow, they all fit together into one of the best itineraries we offer.

Hong Kong hits you first: a skyline that makes Manhattan look modest, street markets that have been running for generations, and a harbor view from Victoria Peak that you’ll be trying to describe to people for months. Then Singapore — a city so well-designed it almost feels unreal, where hawker centers serve some of the best food in the world and the Gardens by the Bay look like they were built by someone who had never been told what was impossible.

By the time you land in Bali, the contrast is deliberate. The noise of the cities gives way to jungle sounds, gamelan music drifting from a nearby temple, and mornings that actually feel like mornings. Four nights is enough to see Ubud’s rice terraces, watch the sunset from Tanah Lot, and have at least one afternoon with absolutely nothing scheduled.

This trip is designed for US travelers who want to see Asia properly — not one country in isolation, but three cities that together tell you something true about what modern Asia actually is.

Day by day Itinerary

The flight from most US cities routes through a Pacific hub — expect 15–18 hours of total travel time. Our representative meets you at Hong Kong International Airport and transfers you directly to the hotel. Hong Kong’s airport is on Lantau Island; the drive or train into the city gives you your first view of the harbor and the stacked hillside apartments that define the city’s look. Tonight, get oriented, eat something local from the street, and sleep. Tomorrow is a full day.

After breakfast, a full day that covers the essential Hong Kong. The Peak Tram climbs to Victoria Peak for the most dramatic skyline view in the city — go up in the late afternoon if you can, when the light is gold and the harbor is full of boats. The tour moves through the city’s districts: the colonial buildings of Central, the packed market streets of Mong Kok, and the waterfront promenade of Tsim Sha Tsui where you can look back across the harbor at the island. The Temple Street Night Market runs in the evening if you want to stay out late.

Hong Kong rewards exploration without a guide. Possibilities for the day: take the Star Ferry across the harbor (still one of the best $0.50 rides in the world), walk through Sheung Wan’s antique shops and dried seafood street, take a double-decker tram along the northern shore of Hong Kong Island, or head to Stanley Market on the south side for a calmer version of the city. If you want to eat well tonight, the seafood restaurants in Sai Kung or Lei Yue Mun are worth the trip.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Singapore. Upon arrival, proceed to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, getting your first glimpse of this vibrant city known for its modern skyline, lush gardens, and diverse culture.

Morning checkout and transfer to Hong Kong International Airport for the flight to Singapore — about 3.5 hours, which feels nothing after the trans-Pacific leg. Singapore’s Changi Airport is consistently rated among the best airports in the world (there’s a waterfall inside it). After clearing customs and collecting bags, your transfer takes you to the hotel in the Tanglin/Orchard area. The evening is yours — Orchard Road for shopping, or a short taxi ride to the Singapore River for a first look at Clarke Quay.

After breakfast, set out to explore the highlights of vibrant Singapore. Drive past iconic landmarks, admire the modern skyline, and discover the city’s blend of cultures and traditions. The tour offers a glimpse of beautiful streets, impressive architecture, and the lively atmosphere that makes Singapore one of Asia’s most exciting destinations.

Today’s tour covers the city’s most iconic points of interest: the Marina Bay waterfront, where the Marina Bay Sands towers over the bay and the ArtScience Museum extends like a lotus flower over the water. Gardens by the Bay is the afternoon highlight — the Supertree Grove is impressive in daylight but extraordinary after dark when the light show runs. Your guide will also take you through the city’s distinct ethnic neighborhoods — Chinatown, Little India, and the Arab Quarter each have their own food, architecture, and atmosphere packed into a few blocks.

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Singapore at your own pace. Singapore is one of the easiest cities in the world to navigate independently — the MRT is clean, cheap, and covers almost everywhere you’d want to go. Options for the day: the hawker centers (Maxwell Food Centre for chicken rice, Lau Pa Sat for satay, Newton Food Centre for late-night seafood), the Botanic Gardens (a UNESCO World Heritage site, free entry), Sentosa Island if you want beaches and theme parks, or just walking through the neighborhoods you didn’t reach on the tour. Singapore is also a serious shopping city — Orchard Road and VivoCity cover everything from luxury brands to street-market finds.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Bali. Upon arrival, proceed to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings of this tropical island.

The flight from Singapore to Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport is about 2.5 hours — short enough that you arrive with most of the day ahead of you. The transition from Singapore to Bali is one of the most satisfying contrasts in travel: from one of the world’s most ordered cities to one of its most organic. Your transfer takes you to the hotel in the Kuta area, which puts you close to the beach and the southern Bali nightlife scene. Take the evening slowly — a beach walk, a local warung dinner, and an early night before the touring starts.

After breakfast, set out for a scenic tour to the beautiful highlands of Kintamani, famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Batur and the surrounding lake. Continue your journey to Ubud, known for its lush landscapes, traditional art markets, and rich Balinese culture. Enjoy the peaceful countryside views and experience the charm of Bali’s cultural heart.

Most of the day is free — a good opportunity to explore Ubud’s market, book a spa treatment (Bali has some of the best and most affordable massage and wellness options in the world), or just sit by the pool. The afternoon transfer heads west along the coast to Tanah Lot, a sea temple built on a rocky outcrop just offshore. The approach is through rice paddies and small villages. At sunset, the temple silhouette against the orange sky with waves crashing around the base below — it’s one of the most photographed scenes in Bali, and it still delivers in person.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Bali. Your last full day. Some options: rent a scooter and ride north toward Ubud’s quieter back roads and the Campuhan Ridge Walk, visit Seminyak for beach clubs and sunset cocktails, take a morning cooking class using local ingredients from the market, or book a spa day at one of the resort properties that offers day passes. If you haven’t seen Uluwatu Temple yet — the clifftop sea temple on the Bukit Peninsula with Kecak fire dance performances at sunset — today is the day.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight home. As you leave Bali, carry with you wonderful memories of stunning beaches, vibrant cultures, and unforgettable experiences. Your journey comes to an end, but the moments from this tropical escape will stay with you forever.
